New Lada 5-Speed Transmission

 

Ladas were FIAT 124 sedans built under license

 

This transmission has gear lever location that is farther forward than the 124 Spider (same as the 124 4-speed transmissions) - Either the wood on the lower console has to be modified so the gear level can exit farther forward, or the lower gear lever has to be bent and extended so it can exit at the stock location

 

The ratios are the same as a 124 Spider, except 5th gear is longer at 0.82:1 for lower engine speed (RPM) on the highway
